We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Marketing & Brand Operations to lead our marketing operations team.
In this role, youll direct performance creative strategy, oversee outsourced marketing development initiatives, uphold brand reputation strategy, and drive marketing operations excellence. Youll manage a multidisciplinary team encompassing product marketing, creative production, and marketing project management. This role is pivotal in aligning creative efforts with performance goals, optimizing marketing infrastructure and tools, and managing high-impact cross-functional projects. The Director of Marketing & Brand Operations reports directly to the CMO and is part of the marketing management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing operations and brand reputation management team, including product marketing, creative production, and project management functions.
Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and cross-functional alignment.
Identify team needs and opportunities for professional development, scaling the team strategically to meet evolving business goals.
Performance Creative Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement a data-driven creative strategy to drive performance across all marketing channels (social, display, search, email marketing, partners/affiliates, SEO).
Partner with internal teams and external agencies to ensure creative assets are optimized for conversion, testing, and scale.
Lead the briefing, production, and iteration process for video, static, and motion assets across platforms.
Cross-Functional Project Management
Lead the execution of complex, multi-team projects spanning marketing, product, growth, and HR.
Create detailed project plans, track KPIs, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery of initiatives with measurable impact.
Identify and implement innovative AI/ML-based tools and other marketing technologies to enhance marketing operations, personalization, and creative development.
Brand Alignment & Oversight
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communication touchpoints, including campaigns, product, website, and customer communications.
Collaborate with the brand, product, design and content teams to maintain cohesive visual and verbal brand identity globally.
Serve as the brand steward, monitoring and enhancing brand reputation online and offline.
Outsourced Web Development
Manage outsourced web and UX development teams to deliver marketing and SEO sites/pages, campaign microsites, and other digital assets on time and budget.
Ensure projects meet quality standards and brand guidelines while enabling rapid iteration and performance improvements.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, brand leadership, or creative strategy, preferably in a high-growth tech or consumer brand.
Proven experience managing performance-driven creative strategy and collaborating with design/creative/agency teams.
Strong project management skills with a track record of leading complex initiatives end-to-end.
Experience managing external vendors, especially in creative production and web development.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
