Responsibilities:
Manage Raw Material from NPI to Mass Production:
Oversee the procurement of raw materials from the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to mass production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align material requirements with production.
Sourcing New Vendors and Identifying Cost Reduction Opportunities:
Actively seek and evaluate new vendors to expand the supplier base in Mexico & USA
Identify and implement strategies to reduce material costs while maintaining quality standards.
Material Ordering, Postponing, and Rescheduling to meet production needs.
Subcontractor Management:
Manage and develop turnkey supplier located in Mexico to meet production demands.
Ensure subcontractors adhere to quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Day-to-Day Vendor Management:
Monitor and manage day-to-day relationships with vendors.
Address and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and performance.
Cross-Functional Management and Collaboration:
Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Planning teams to align procurement activities with project timelines.
Ensure effective communication and coordination across different departments.
Reports Analysis, Drawings Reading, Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge:
Analyse reports related to procurement, cost, and supplier performance.
Possess the ability to read technical drawings and demonstrate knowledge of both mechanical and electrical components.
Requirements: A bachelors degree in industrial engineer or a related field
3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferred in a production company.
Proven experience working with manufacturers in global regions.
Fluent English.
Mechanical and electronic knowledge
Reading Drawings knowledge.
Negotiation expertise
Work under short deadlines
Advanced Excel skills
Mexico procurement experience an advantage.
