Senior Director, Line of Business
we are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Director to lead our Mid-Range Radars Line of Business (LOB). This pivotal role is responsible for driving growth and profitability through the development and execution of comprehensive business strategies, oversight of program execution, and cultivation of strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced executive with a deep understanding of complex defense programs, a demonstrated history of success in strategic planning, product development, and sales, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
LOB Strategy & Business Development:
Market Analysis: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the market, operational needs, competitors, and emerging trends.
Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the LOB strategy, including a detailed 5-year strategic plan, to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve business goals.
Business Development & Capture: Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, leading capture efforts, and securing contracts with defense agencies, prime contractors, and strategic partners.
Product Development Roadmap: Define and manage the product development pipeline based on market needs and technological advantages.
Execution:
Program Management & Execution: Oversee full lifecycle programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting technical and contractual requirements.
Risk Management: Evaluate business opportunities, challenges, and risks across existing programs, drive decision-making, and ensure sustainable growth.
P&L Management: Assume full P&L responsibility for the line of business, driving financial performance through effective revenue generation, budget oversight, and cost control.
Customer Management: Lead key account activities and program execution, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
People & Matrix Organization Management:
Leadership & Management: Manage program and technical management teams. Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture.
Interface Management & Matrix Collaboration: Operate effectively within a matrix organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, other LOBs, manufacturing, and finance to achieve business and organizational objectives.
Team Performance: Establish performance targets, conduct regular reviews, and ensure continuous professional development to meet and exceed business goals.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; Masters degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the defense industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director or Senior Director level).
Strong operational understanding of the line of business (medium-range radar systems); familiarity with advanced radar technologies is highly desirable.
Proven track record in strategic planning and sales within the defense sector.
Deep understanding of business processes, technology development cycles, and contracting mechanisms.
High level of initiative and motivation, with a strong focus on achieving business objectives and driving growth.
Military operational commanding experience in Air & Missile Defense an advantage.
