Required Data Center Technician, Data Center Operations

Key job responsibilities:
You will interact with stakeholders across EMEA, so English language proficiency is essential
Working to meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
Being first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
Performing regular server hardware repairs(drives, motherboards etc).
Carrying out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs.
Working with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.
Engaging with Smart Hands in POPs.
Adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center.
Participating in Data Center power & cooling events.
Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement.
Identifying and help create documentation for use globally.
Identifying and help create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
Performing server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required.
Interacting with third party vendors & contractors.
Contributing to the development of other team members.
Availability to be oncall once a month including weekends and holidays
*Valid Driver License is required for this position.
Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-4+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience and 3+ years of computer networking experience;
-High school or equivalent diploma;
-Able to lift/move up to 20kg equipment on a daily basis;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
Experience working in a colocation data center facility
-3+ years of Linux operating systems experience
-Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
-Formal certifications such as MSCA , CCNA or others.
