We are seeking a motivated Jira Administrator & Developer to optimize and maintain the workflows and processes within Jira that drive organizational efficiency. In this role, you will configure and manage Jira to support agile methodologies and ensure streamlined workflows across teams. Additionally, you will integrate Jira with key tools such as Salesforce, EasyBI, and Xray to enhance reporting, testing, and collaboration. Your expertise will help enable seamless operations, improve productivity, and empower teams to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
Jira Admin
Configure, maintain, and develop our Jira instance.
Manage user access, permissions, and roles.
Create and manage projects, workflows, custom fields, screens, and issue types.
Perform regular platform maintenance, including upgrades.
Troubleshoot and resolve Jira issues.
Implement and enforce best practices for Jira usage.
Jira Development
Configure and optimize Jira projects, workflows, custom fields, and permissions using scripting tools to enhance team efficiency and align with agile best practices.
Serve as the Jira expert and primary point of contact for configuration, troubleshooting, and process improvements across the organization.
Integrate Jira with tools using APIs and webhooks such as Salesforce, EasyBI, Xray, and other platforms to support seamless workflows and reporting.
Provide input on using complementary tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Miro, Figma, Mkdocs, Git) where they intersect with Jira workflows, ensuring consistency and integration.
Continuously assess and implement best practices to improve team efficiency and productivity using Jira and integrated tools.
Collaboration and Support
Provide support to users on Jira best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and requirements.
Document configurations and best practices.
Work with vendors for support of plugins, and Atlassian support.
Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator or in a similar role, with a strong focus on Jira in agile environments, and scripting languages (e.g., Groovy for ScriptRunner) or Jira Automation tools.
Experience with Jira REST APIs and webhooks.
Deep understanding of Jira administration, including workflows, custom fields, automations and permissions.
Experience with BI tools (e.g., EasyBI) and testing tools (e.g., Xray), including their integration with Jira.
Proficiency in integrating Jira with tools like Salesforce, Notion and other enterprise platforms.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to enhancing Jira and related processes.
Familiarity with complementary tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Miro, Figma, Mkdocs) is a plus.
Atlassian certifications such as Certified Jira Administrator are desirable.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
