our company, which develops a line of products of unique loitering munitions, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our growing team.
you will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating a team of manufacturing engineers to ensure the efficient and effective production of our products.
You will be responsible for managing the manufacturing engineering processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manager and guide a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and attainment of team objectives.
Process design, optimization, and documentation, to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on production.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing engineering team and across the production floor.
Identify areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvement, and lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure effective coordination and alignment of manufacturing engineering activities.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, key metrics, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a defense or aerospace industry. At least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, methodologies and material.
Experience in implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Proficiency in using manufacturing software tools, CAD/CAM systems, and ERP systems.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance standards.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
