About the Position
we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agent QA Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the testing strategy for our EDR/EPP agent across various operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our agent, which is a core component of our security platform.
In this role, you will:
Design and implement comprehensive test strategies and architectures specifically for our company agents.
Lead the definition and implementation of automation frameworks, tools, and best practices tailored for agent-based testing, including low-level system interactions, functionality, performance, interoperability etc.
Collaborate closely with the development teams to ensure testability of new features, identify potential risks, and optimize testing efforts for cross-platform compatibility and performance.
Evaluate new technologies and tools relevant to agent testing, including system-level testing, performance profiling, and compatibility testing across diverse OS versions and virtualizations
Define and maintain quality metrics and reporting mechanisms specific to agent behavior, stability, and resource consumption.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to agent installation, execution, and uninstallation on various operating systems.
Requirements: 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 3 years in a Test Architect or similar leadership role focused on agent-based or low-level system software.
Deep understanding of operating system internals (Linux, Windows, macOS) relevant to agent behavior, including process management, file system operations, network interactions, and virtualization.
Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go) for system-level testing.
Proven ability to design and implement end-to-end testing solutions for robust and highly performant agents.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflow for agent builds.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with security products (EDR, EPP, antivirus) is a significant advantage.
