We are looking for a hands-on, assertive, and process-driven Senior R&D Program Manager to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will work under the Head of Strategic Delivery to bring order to the daily R&D operations. You won't just be "moving tickets around" - you will be the operational heartbeat of the department. Your job is to ensure that the plans we make actually happen - clearing the path for developers, synchronizing between squads, and ensuring that our data in Jira reflects reality, not wishful thinking.
We need someone with a strong backbone who isn't afraid to dive into the details, ask tough questions, and stand their ground with technical leads and senior management when necessary to protect the delivery commitments
What You Will Do :
Drive the Delivery Cadence: Hold the R&D Team Leads accountable for the development lifecycle. While they own the execution, you ensure that Sprints run smoothly and that we are hitting our deadlines.
Jira & Data Integrity: You will be the owner of our "Single Source of Truth." You don't need to be a coding wizard, but you must ensure that Jira boards are clean, up-to-date, and that reports (Burn-down, Velocity) are accurate so management can make decisions based on facts.
Visibility & Reporting: Provide the Head of Strategic Delivery and VP R&D with clear, real-time visibility into project status. You are the one who raises the flag before a project goes off the rails.
Cross-Functional Synchronization: Act as the glue between technical teams. You ensure dependencies are managed and that no "silos" are blocking progress.
Escalation Management: Act as a shield for the team. When urgency strikes from CS or Product, you help triage and prioritize so the R&D team doesn't lose focus.
Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Delivery Manager, Technical Project Manager, or PMO in a software company.
AI-first mindset: You naturally use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Jira automation, etc.) to streamline work, design better workflows, and eliminate manual overhead.
Jira Proficiency: You know the tool well. You can set up boards, query issues (JQL), and understand how to structure a workflow. You know how to make the tool work for the team, not against it.
Technical Fluency: You speak "R&D." You understand the software development lifecycle (CI/CD, Staging vs. Prod) and can communicate effectively with developers.
Process Oriented: A proven track record of taking a chaotic environment and implementing orderly, efficient rituals.
Strong Character: You are comfortable working with strong personalities. You know how to respectfully push back on a Team Lead or senior stakeholder if a request is unrealistic or breaks the process. You are not a "Yes Person."
English: Fluent written and spoken English (essential).
Nice to Have
PMP / PMI-ACP certification.
Experience with other productivity tools (Notion, Monday.com).
Background in software development, QA, or Product.
This position is open to all candidates.
